There are many concerts that I like to talk, but there are one that I will never forget, when come from to Chile Iron Maiden with Slayer in October of 2013. It was occurred in the athletic track on the National Stadium and it was very important for me, because this are two or my favourite bands and probably which marked me more.

Maybe the two bands are come from in many times, but for different things I couldn't go. In this occasion, Slayer lost his historic guitar player Jeff Hanneman just a few months before the event, I don´t know very well if they can present, finally they do and it was amazing, even they do a tribute for Hanneman.

In the concert, also play a band call Ghost, but it was not well received; everybody has waiting the big two bands.

An anecdote interesting about the concert, was the people I saw fainted. Like occurred regularly, the people has mosh pits and the violence is very much, but despite this, nobody was severely wounded. It was a really big concert :)

My favourite movie

Although the films that most like me, are in relationship with social problems topics, there is one movie that I really really like and is not about this topic (at least not directly): The butterfly effect.

There is direct by Eric Bress, and the principal starring are Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart. The film revolves around the life of Evan Treborn (Ashton Kutcher), a 20 years old college student, who find that he has the ability to travel back in time, keeping his adult mind, but backing in his adolescent body, and change the present by changing the past behaviors. The problem is that every time that Evan try to change some event of his several childhood, cause negatives consequences, either for him, his friends, his family or his love.

The story take place in EE.UU, but that is not the important part. The best part of the movie is the end, because in the climax the spectator doesn´t know if Evan finishes with Kaileigh (Amy Smart); the suspense is the best.

I like this movie because, in general, the topics about travel in time I like so much, and in particular the film use very well this tool.

I don't change anything of the movie, but is interesting that the film has alternative endings. Although just one is present on the cinema, exist 2 more that are in youtube for example. That shows the difficult of choose the end in the movie, and the important that is.

My favourite photograph

This isn't a particular photograph, is a combination of videos, images, etc. Many journalists participate on the situation. This shows the Hindenburg disaster on Thursday, May 6, 1937; where the German passenger airship LZ 129 Hindenburg caught fire and was destroyed. Of the 97 people on board there were 35 fatalities. I like it for two things: for the amazing it was the situation and for the consequences. First, the flammable of the structure make a impressive photograph, the fire in all the airship it's beautiful. And second, because after the accident it was canceled the travels in Zepellin; it is a very important fact in our recent history. Besides, the accident is one of the most recreated situation, in series, movies, radioshows, etc. even in The Simpson serie. Finally, this accident teach us the susceptible of our creations and the importance of a care our lives.

My favourite festivity

My favourite festivity is the new year. This celebration happens the first day of every year in the occidental calendary and has as objective the change of period after twelve months. I don't know really well what is the origin of the festivity, but it is famous that every different culture has their specific celebration for their specific cicles, dependent on the importance for their lives, this can be because their religion or because their tradition in general. The activities that I do in the new year are drink, go out with friends, see the fireworks, etc. In general I like this day, because I walk down Valparaíso very much, I can participate in the colective happiness and I can meet new people, people that probably I never see again. I think that this day wouldn't be the same for me if I didn't live near  Valparaíso, the sea gives it  a complete different connotation and other atmosphere.

For me it is a important day and I hope so that these days can happen again.

Post 2: My expectations for the new semester

I have many expectations for this semester, the last wasn't very appealling, that´s why I want it to be better. The subjects that I am doing are six: epistemology, stadistic III, sociologyc theory II, economy II, quantitative techniques II and English III. I am not taking extracurricular subjects like artistic o sports, and the courses of general formation I have already done them. In the university I am involved in different activities, social and political, but nothing definite. Besides, out of the university, I practice ninjutsu in a Dojo in Santiago and play guitar. For this new semester I hope to approve all my subjects, meet new people, and mobilize me for the revolutionary social fights.

Hello everyone. This is my first post of the semester. Mi name is Alexis Zamora Vargas. I am 20 years old. I was born in Viña del Mar. I am studying Sociology at the moment. I studied my high school in Viña del Mar and Valparaíso, and before sociology I studied physics one semester. My parents are divorce and I don't have any brothers or sisters.In Santiago I live in a room in Ñuñoa and in Viña del Mar I live with my grandparents in their house. I like to play the guitar and go out with friends. I would like to learn to ride a bicycle.
